The most popular sites of our estate are Kastanienbusch, Mandelberg and Sonnenschein. They provide us with optimal site conditions to grow great wines.

  • Narrow basin sheltered by the Taschberg from the east and by the Hohenberg from the west
  • Up to 320m above sea level and an incline of up to 30%
  • Soils: red sandstone, limestone, and red slate
  • Varietals: Riesling, Pinot blanc, Sauvignon blanc and Pinot noir



  • Sheltered against cold air from the Palatinate forest and open towards the Rhine valley.
  • South-East facing slope exposed to the optimal degree of sunlight
  • Approximately 220m above sea level and an incline between 15% and 20%
  • Soil: lacustrine limestone
  • Varietal: Wei├čer Burgunder
